SWFL Water Testing provides services for common matrices including drinking water (potable water), environmental water (non-potable water), and solids (soil and sediment).

(a) Drinking Water

62-550 Primary and Secondary Contaminants:

  • Primary Inorganics, Primary Volatile Organics, Primary Synthetic Organics, Secondary Standards, Radionuclides

Microbiology:

  • Total Coliform, E-Coli, Heterotrophic Plate Count

Special Contaminants:

  • Disinfection By-Products, Unregulated 62-550 Groups, Asbestos, Dioxin, Giardia and Cryptosporidium, Lead and Copper Rule

(b) Environmental Water

Full analytical services are available for surface water, groundwater, and wastewater. In addition, the laboratory performs a range of specialty analyses, mainly for surface water.

Routine Analyses:

  • Physical properties Nutrients, Minerals, Metals, Microbiology, Organics, 503 Sludge

Specialty Analyses:

  • Copper and Lead in saline water by SM 3113B MIBK extraction.

  • Low level MDL’s for nutrients in surface water. Example: Ammonia MDL is 0.006 mg/L.

  • Chlorophyll a (corrected). EPA 445.0.

  • Chlorophyll a, b, c SM 10200H

  • Anions, including fluoride, by ion chromatography. EPA 300.0.

  • Enterococci EPA 1600
